PETU POS · RESTAURANT OPERATIONS

Terms of Service / SaaS Agreement

Quick answer

These terms govern access to Petu POS. By creating an account or using the service, the account owner agrees to these terms on behalf of the restaurant or business.

Last updated: 2 November 2026 · Draft for review

01

SaaS licence and account responsibilities

Subject to these terms and payment of applicable fees, Petu POS grants the business a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the hosted POS service for its internal restaurant operations during the applicable trial or paid term. The service and its software remain the property of Petu POS and its licensors.

The account owner must provide accurate account and outlet information, keep credentials confidential, assign appropriate staff access, promptly remove access for former staff, and notify Petu POS of suspected account compromise. The account owner is responsible for activity performed through its account.

02

Acceptable use and customer information

Use Petu POS only for lawful business operations. Do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, upload unlawful or malicious content, infringe third-party rights, or use the service to send unsolicited marketing. The restaurant must provide required notices and obtain any permissions needed to enter end-customer information or send bills and receipts.

03

Availability and service levels

Petu POS targets 99.98% operational uptime. This is a target, not a service-level guarantee. Uninterrupted or error-free service is not guaranteed; maintenance, connectivity, hardware, third-party services, and events outside our reasonable control can affect availability.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Petu POS is not liable for business interruption, lost sales, or indirect losses caused by service unavailability, including outages during a dinner rush. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

04

Billing, taxes, and invoicing responsibilities

The listed India prices are ₹499 for a 30-day monthly term and ₹4,000 for a 365-day annual term, as selected and displayed at checkout. Subscription access is prepaid for the selected term; payment is a one-time charge for that term and does not automatically renew under the current checkout flow. Renewal requires a new payment. International prices and payment methods, if offered, are shown before payment.

Petu POS provides invoicing and tax calculation tools, not tax or accounting advice. The registered business owner is solely responsible for verifying the legal accuracy of tax rates and calculations, GSTIN and invoice compliance, and all returns, filings, and payments. The owner must review output before issuing an invoice.

05

Third-party services and data

Payment processing, messaging, hosting, and other integrations may be provided by third parties. Their terms apply to their services. Petu POS does not store full payment-card credentials; payment details are handled by the provider presented at checkout. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

06

Suspension, termination, and changes

An account owner may stop using the service and may choose not to renew at the end of a paid term. Petu POS may suspend access for material breach, security risk, unlawful use, or unpaid fees, with notice where reasonably practicable. On expiry, access may be restricted; the owner should export required data before the retention period ends.

07

Consumer rights, governing law, and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to mandatory consumer protections and jurisdiction that cannot legally be excluded, courts of competent jurisdiction at New Delhi, India will have jurisdiction over disputes.

Nothing in these terms limits a consumer's rights or remedies under applicable Indian consumer protection law. If any clause is unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue to apply.
